I was diagnosed with ALS in August 2017 after experiencing loss of movement in my right foot in early 2016.  Since then, I have had increased difficulty with mobility.  In so many unexpected ways, my life has changed.

I currently live in Boston Massachusetts with my three adult children.  By far, they are the biggest accomplishment in life, and I am so very proud of each of them.  We spend as much time as possible together as a family which includes our Silver Lab Lou.

After 24 years, I retired from my job at Apple Inc. in November 2020.   My involvement in the ALS community is now my full-time job.  I quickly realized there is so much work that needs to be done. As long as I am able, I will continue to do whatever I can to make ALS a livable disease.
